The Boatshed

Situated high on the edge of Lake Rotoiti, this beautiful home stands proud with a dark corrugated façade overlooking the lake. Built to mimic the design of a boatshed, this home is an abode full of detail, natural materials, textures, high end finishes and understated luxury.

Custom cabinetry was designed and manufactured throughout, along with custom build details to make this home unique.

The design of this home was carefully thought out to create different wings for entertaining, sleeping and eating. This build was part of a two home build project situated on one property side by side. From afar the two homes look like one large Boathouse, however, each interior has been crafted to suit the different families needs and aesthetic.

This particular home away from home was curated with high end craftmanship, and a selection of natural materials to ground the home and tie it into the natural surroundings. Timber flooring, timber ceiling sarking, natural dry stacked stone, slabs of Michelangelo, vertical timber wall paneling and tundra stone are a few of the materials used to make this home what it is.
